Greetings of peace dear
colleagues,
Elections is a time when
everybody is empowered to course their future. In this complicated
changing world, there is one basic commonality that we, as architects share,
and that is to ensure a thriving, robust and secure future for our
profession.
This year, my involvement as NEVP of UAP and Vice Chair of the National
Building Code Board of Consultants, together with my experiences in the UAP for
18 years, holding SG and NEVP positions for 3 years each, have given me a
close-up realization of issues and challenges that, if not immediately
addressed, will greatly undermine and diminish the practice of our profession.
These challenges are daunting, ranging from the strengthening and
implementation of RA 9266, to uplifting the standards, mindsets & core
capabilities of Architects to be at par with international standards.
Addressing them proactively will enable us to not only cope, but excel in
global practice.
The
challenges we face as Architects are immediate and imminent. The solutions to
these challenges must be inclusive, sustainable and long term and we will only
achieve this when all of us work together to make it happen.
To
this, together with Ponce, Pugeda, Manalo and Carunungan, we humbly submit and
offer our services for your consideration, to lead and spearhead the programs
we need to get UAP on the path of progress and stature. These programs are
embodied in our battle cry of Assert, Advance, Advocate (Triple A) together with
a sincere, abled and selfless dedication for a gold standard of governance.
Join
us! Let us raise our horizons to a new, better, stronger UAP with integrity,
dignity and high ethical consciousness, worthy of our noble profession.
Attached are the programs
we are going to put into action to attain our goals and objectives, should we
be given the chance to be elected. (Please like our FB page here)
